The first presentation in the series will revolve around the “admin” database, from its history to its functional purpose within the environment. The database was developed to enhance the limited administrative feature set provided by Microsoft while providing consistency between SQL versions. They will also show you how to implement this database in your environment as well as the benefits it can bring by showing real world examples

The SQL Server Special Interest Group (SQL SIG) was founded in a partnership between Bennett Adelson and Microsoft. The SQL SIG has become the forum for SQL Server collaboration and instruction from some of the brightest minds in the region. The organization was founded to provide enterprise SQL developers and DBA's the opportunity to collaborate and listen to leading experts discuss various topics within SQL Server. Members include a broad range of disciplines and experiences, from the experienced SQL DBA or developer to a novice on the Microsoft platform.
